Untitled (Make Do and Mend)

found books, tape, correction fluid and pencil, 2009-ongoing. I mended an old copy of "A Handbook of Anatomy for Art Students" with another copy, replacing tears to pages, deleting personal inscriptions, and restoring censored photographs.

Techniques of the Observer (installation)

During the video being played, the invigilator was asked to draw from the audience viewing the video. Thank to Transmission Gallery staff.

Techniques of the Observer

video 35min,20sec loop. Edited footage of "Life Class: Gregynog, Powys" performance documentation from the viewpoint of the life model. The viewpoint depicts the actions of a drawer, a photographer and a video maker as they observe from the life model. Drawings made from the performance are interspersed throughout the narrative for every click or activation of a camera.

Straight to Video (Live)

Date: 27th April 2009, Venue: Tithe Barn, Lincoln, Model: Liz Marshall, Participants: Emma Osbourn, Heather Muddiman, George Hardy, Peter Skilton, Tom Cretney, and Thomas Cuthbertson, Thanks to Richard Black. Participants were asked to work collaboratively to create a narrative through a series of drawings of the life model. The drawings were show as they were being made, in real time and straight to a CCTV video camera. The CCTV footage was projected into a lecture theatre to an audience.
